Over forty former AASM students, faculty, and parents stopped by to say hello during our NYC alumni meet-up on February 1, 2020.
The 48
th floor of the View Lounge, overlooking Times Square, provided a venue somewhat reminiscent of Moscow’s hotel lounges and rooftop restaurants.
We had a blast hearing everyone’s stories and watching alumni reconnect with each other. Seeing AASM students from different decades connect and discover shared memories and experiences was a special treat. We heard parent, faculty and student stories of trials and triumphs and were blown away by the positive memories you collectively hold about your AASM experiences.
It was inspiring to meet alumni with mastery across so many fields and a shared past of learning at AASM. We met doctors, aerospace engineers, educators, actresses, marketers, and specialists in the fields of IT, communication, development, finance, non-profit, and more. Thank you to everyone who expressed interest in connecting with our current students to help them with their university and career choices, we look forward to connecting you with students who will greatly benefit from your experience. In fact, the entire AAS community will greatly benefit from hearing your alumni stories. Please consider sharing more about your life path, experiences, and current passions and projects.
A special thank you to those who traveled far to be at our alumni meet-up; we hope to continue hosting regular meet-ups in cities with a significant alumni population. Please email us at
communications@aas.ru if you would like to be an alumni liaison for your city or grade level, co-organizing future alumni events with AAS Moscow.
We feel extremely grateful at AAS Moscow to have such a strong and positive international community beyond our campus walls.
