On May 24, 2022, Penguin Life hosted its first Athletic & Activities Recognition Ceremony in almost three years.

We celebrated the third season which included MUN, HS Math, Volleyball, Cross Country, Softball and Swimming.

What made this event a little more special was the addition of our Year End Athletic Awards and the induction and opening of our Penguins of Honour Wall.

Current and former AAS Penguin coaches inducted eight Alumni who left AAS and continued their passion for sport by playing at the University level. Families, students, presenters and coaches joined the simulcast from 20 timezone and 13 different countries as far away as the Philippines, USA, Portugal, Poland, Azerbaijan, Holland, the United Kingdom, Greece, Germany, Serbia, Brussels and Denmark.

We took the time to award our Athletes of the Year and Penguin Fair Play & Spirt Award and Penguin Leaders to our well deserving high school role models. Three of our senior students took the opportunity to say goodbye and thank you to our coaching staff whom will be departing at the end of the current school year.

It was a great success to reconnect with our Alumni and hear their amazing stories of how much being a penguin mean’t to them.

A big shout out to Mr.Boychuk for being the driver behind this event and Penguin Life Athletics for the past 8 years!

Our Penguin Wall of Honor is looking for more alumni athletes to inspire our current students.
Email us at if you played any sports in college or university.

Until next time Penguins. Once a Penguin… you know the rest!
